Mediterranean Hurricane Maximo 13-16 Dicembre 1985 like CAT 1 Hurricane. Real pressure unknown. Thanks images loop EUMETSAT 1985. Tropical cyclones like Vince, Karl, Epsilon and, above all, the recent tropical storm Grace showed a process of formation absolutely identical to that of many Medicanes. This process is called Tropical Transition and allows extratropical cyclones with cold core to become tropical cyclones with warm core,even at subtropical/temperate latitudes and over water of less than 20 °c.
