GARY LUCAS: CLIP 1 LIVE on DUTCH NATIONAL RADIO, HILVERSUM

In January 2008 Gary Lucas journeyed to Holland at the behest of Co
de Kloet, celebrated Dutch journalist and good friends of both
Captain Beefheart and the late Frank Zappa. Co commissioned Gary to
compose a musical soundtrack to accompany the last known lengthy
interview with Don Van Vliet (a/k/a Captain Beefheart), which he had
conducted over the phone with Don in 1993. The eventual result, a
joint composition of Co de Kloet and Gary Lucas, is titled "I Have a
Cat". Here Gary is filmed warming up during the "I Have a Cat"
sessions in the NPS Dutch National Radio Studios in Hilversum by Co's
friend Paul B.
