Marching Mizzou Run On

The way the band enters the field for pregame is called a run on. They run on the field, fast, four counts apart.

It's neat to watch, but even neater to be a part of!

Marching Mizzou is built around tradition. Why should we change something that isn't broken and that the public loves? Tradition is a part of Mizzou. If you can't respect that, I'm sorry.

Pregame is always the same, but halftime changes (when we have the time). It works for Mizzou.

are you in the mizzou marching band? i just applied to mizzou and i expect to get accepted. i was wondering how you get involved with the band?

The pregame pretty much always stays the same. Marching Mizzou does a new half time performance about every other venue.

I think a lot of the alumni like the nostalgic feeling pregame gives.

Also, besides band camp, there isn't a lot of time to practice.

Comment on same thing, gets old. Well, what about Ohio State spelling out Ohio in script? --they have never changed that and they do it every time they perform. Most land grant universities (old universities) have lots of traditions that they keep alive.
