Find out what being a certified treasure hunter is all about. Julio Diaz plays a middle-class treasure hunter who has been digging for Japanese treasure for years. He and his companions are in the final stage of their current site in the mountains of Suyo, Ilocos Sur, an area reputed as a Japanese stronghold during World War II. All the signs at their site indicate that they are certain to find treasure.
24K is a Finalist in the full length feature category of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition 2009. The Cinemalaya Festival opens on July 17, 2009 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

Site looks like ours in the province of mindanao. I was there last month, trying to find out about hidden japanese treasures, surpricingly its true. Signs are are all over the place, and there are 2 sites are still untouch, just a meter away from the tunnel, sad to say we dont have enough workers to assign for the 2 site. Working on that area isn't a joke. Good thing our team have a full knowledge about these kind of work.

The pit scenes remind of "There Will Be Blood." I guess prospectors, treasure hunters, like gamblers, really do not think like regular people in order to do what they do. Looking forward to seeing it this weekend.
