Remington 597 Modification Part 2 :: 30 Round Magazine

Alright guys here is the first step to upgrading my Remington 597. In this video I'm taking a clear magazine and painting it black while leaving a few spots clear. @ZDrox1 Go for it. If you have the capability to cut stickers then it's an easy way to customize a magazine. I used whatever software came with my vinyl cutter when I bought it 10 years ago.

@fisher2852 I think a better question is why wouldn't I modify such an awesome gun. Why not customize the gun to fit me better and function better. With the forward rail I have the choice of bipod, forward grip, sling attachment point, etc. I don't consider the magazine mod a big deal either way, it's not like I'm changing the rifle here. It's a small .22 caliber rifle, why not make it more enjoyable to shoot. Sorry if my customization bothers you, I think it personalizes it. Take care.

Think you have the 20 and 30 in the wrong location. 30 should be at the bottom. And the location marked 20 should be 10.

@crazytru02 I'm sorry but I double checked and the markers aren't in the wrong spot. They are exactly where they need to be in the correct order. When you load bullets you are going to hit 20 before you hit thirty... you start with one and stop at 30.

I got a 597 for christmas and a 30 round mag :) now i can put away my .22 trappers riffle and have a better chance and killing squirrels
