It's funny when I watch this today, hearing the reporter talking about Brown's record on the economy as a reason for John not to stand up for the leadership.

You can't imagine him getting away with making that claim against John these days!

Good for John. That interview was an excellent example of lazy patronizing journalism of the lowest quality. The BBC is a government quango which is why it's right-of-centre and, more importantly, not free. We don't have a democratic media in this country.
