The Republic of Texas today!

Texas is an independent nation and soon it will be official and the World will know that Texas is it's own country once again. The first few lines in the Texas Constitution says that "Texas is a free and Independent State." The word state also refers to a nation as well. Texas was the only state after the Civil War that did not officially re-enter the Union. When the US forcefully and illegally annexed the Republic in 1845, the Legislature, Judicial, and Executive branches of the Republic of Texas never officially approved therefor making any atempts to annex null and void under International Law. As President Houston once said, "Texas will again lift its head and stand among the nations!" God bless the Republic of Texas!

Wanting secession is NOT inpatriotic! Texas was and is it's own country! I agree with you God bless America but I also say God bless the Republic of Texas 1836 - 1845 and 2010 - .... You are obviously not from Texas. Alot of people in Texas rightfully feel that they are Texans first and Americans second. Im not trying to be rude but read the description as well.
