Yep, they are still doing it. I think they might have had 2 events in Granville last year but I missed them both.

i had NO idea granville had a horse pull every summer! They are still doing this right? Man, i wont have to wait for the Schaticoke fair anymore.

Apparently this was not an event covered by the New York State Horse Pullers Assc. because the events in this would've never been allowed. A) There is no line slapping of any kind. And B) If a person crosses the Eveners then that hook is a disqualification. Come on guys do the job right or don't put the event on at all. My family has been in this business for 60 years or better and that's not how its done!!

Actually it was ran by The Eastern Draft Horse Association, which is the largest horse pulling organization in the country.
