The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is having economic effects even in areas where, so far, there has been no oil.

In the Florida Keys off the southeastern United States, the vital tourism industry has been hit hard as visitors cancel trips because, local officials say, there is a "perception" that oil has come ashore.

One local charter boat company has even filed a lawsuit against BP for loss of business.

Al Jazeera's Anand Naidoo went to the Florida Keys to see what's at risk. (May 28, 2010)
