This is a virtual walkthrough of the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. It starts on the 4th floor of the Carver Pavillion and goes to a conference room on the 5th floor of the General Hospital. It is currently a work in progress. All work was done in Blender and the walkthrough is using the Blender game engine.

All models constructed by Jeff Bertrand for research
projects in the Hank Virtual Environments Lab in the Department of
Computer Science at the University of Iowa.

  • I did not use radiosity in this animation. in my later hospital videos i used baked ambient occlusion maps for soft shadows. I didn't use tangent v shading either, that is just a straight picture of the actual elevator. in the elevator demo video, i put a faked reflection mapped to the ref channel

  • is radiosity used for the florescent lights in the hall ways? and did you use a brushed metal texture with tangent V shading on the elevator doors?
