How do I go to my BIOS?
-
@LucyiX And also when I tried launching Windows repair, it took me to a different window that was asking for my username and password, I entered my username but I never had a password because the computer was a family computer. It wont let me do anything, only if theres a password. I entered a password that might work but, non of them did the job, it kept saying " the user name listed is wrong or does not exist ". I really need help, and when I try launching windows normally, it boots up, but...

@LucyiX I really need help with this. I have a Dell desktop with windows Vista. And last night, I finished using the computer, so I went to get a drink of water before I shut it down. Right when I came to the computer afterwards, the blue screen just popped up, and then my computer restarted. I was a bit shocked so I waited until it was up and running, then a window said. " Windows has failed to start a change in the hardware or software might be the cause." Please help me, I need to fix it.

@ElectroMuusiic Before this process consider doing this:
1.Check if:
-all your software and drivers are compatible with Vista!
-all your hardware works normal!
-Your system architecture is the same with the OS ones (x32/86/64)
-and your Microsoft Windows Vista edition is Up to Date!
2.Backup ALL your hard drive content (save your file to CDs DVDs and external HDDs)
I recommend you to install MS Windows XP (sp3) or Windows 7.
Also use a simple antivirus as Eset or Comodo! (i use Comodo).

@pearldrumsarecool I agree with you. I have ugly experiences with a dell latitude D600, even after fresh xp installation (slow startup; cpu hoags; and the audio card has stopped working). I recommend you to review your drivers and software + installing compatible ones + doing a Full Format with Microsoft Windows XP. (also Try ESET Smart security, or Comodo.)(I use Comodo Internet Security and it works good!)

I advice u dont play with ur Bios...instead u can do a disk defragment and system clean up...you should be fine then

@ahdnaji I know... but somehow some computer brands tend to fake the real specifications by overcloacking (from bios so the CPU has a higger frequency) Vista is one of the most sensible os that blocks the crash by using BSOD (blue screen) I recommend to install a Vista SP1 (service pack edition) or Windows 7 or XP and review your hardware and software.!
