symphony x is good btw, slipknot is mainstream, not saying that everything mainstream sucks, but the underground metal is where its at, Symphony x can be considered underground, not to metal fans, but to society, but really good as you can see, just cause you don't hear it on tv everywhere doesn't mean its not quality music with meaning. btw I'm black too. haha I grew up in the bay area, fucked up part of it, and I still grew up on this stuff.

Well this proves to me that you are more open minded than I thought. So sorry about what I wrote in the other video, I just didn't agree that living a poor life in the ghetto and what not defines what you listen to. Thrash metal, which is one of the early extreme forms of metal, such as grind, black, and death metal came from from poor to middle class families starting off with shitty equipment, as well as other rock related genres.

i mostly listen to r&b.

Check out a band called Dope, theyre sick. They got a whole bunch a heavy pissed off shit and meaningful songs thought their entire discography. Their sound will pump you up for boot caamp ha. All 5 of their albums have something worth listening to on them. One of my favorite songs by them is called Always.
