when ever i pull the lever the gravel goes up and down, but then kills itself but falling from that high

ive already made my gate and its 10 blocks, not 8, will it sitll work if i just add an extra 2 blocks? :(

@Henness0666 I finally made a 5 meter portcullis. If you want to see it just go to my channel. It's the only video there right now. I'm also making a tutorial this week on how it works because I had to use a completely different design from other gates.

@multishorts not for me coz one row of gravel stayed above path level with 2 delay (tested on Minecraft Snapshot 12w06a - dont know how it works on other versions)

This took me 5 hours to make on Iron Forge server. It was especially hard because I made it so that the bottom gate mechanism is underground and I didn't use creative. I made the design look a little better. But yeh, great tutorial, was very useful.
