Despite overwhelming evidence of Peltier’s guilt, they know only discredited histories that white men have foisted upon them. Leonard admitted to being there at the scene. If he didn't pull the trigger, He did nothing to stop it which is aiding and abetting which is what he was convicted of.
The FBI was responsible for many of the deaths on the reservation during that time.
Sort of like Timothy McVeigh bombing the federal building in oklahoma in retaliation for the children the FBI killed in Waco & Ruby Ridge.
