A short demonstration of cutting fret slots using the StewMac fret scale and thin kerf blade on a table saw. I had some questions on this process and I figure if a picture is worth a 1000 words a video is worth way more than I want to type.
I can't remember the exact height around .053". I measured the tang of the fret with a caliper and transferred that to blade height above the sled plus a couple thou for sanding.
Keep in mind that this method cuts the slots while the fingerboard is still flat. After I radius the fingerboard I go back by hand and cut the slots to final depth.

Thanks for posting this. How high did you set the blade above the sled and what did you use to measure it's height?
