I have been struggling a bit with accepting where I am with my hoop practice (mainly compared to other people) and not really putting in much flight time. Inspiration to really set aside the time to explore hasn't been happening for a couple of months... but a new commitment to working on my self as well as remembering why I started hooping in the first place was the root of this practice. It felt rusty at first, but after being outside for a while with the grass under my feet and only the crickets chirping around me, I realized it doesn't matter where I stand compared to other people... it just feels good to have a hoop on my body. I am accepting where I am right now. This practice felt wonderful.
Music added later: Gathering Dust, by David Gray
Lovely song, lovely hooping. I can't wait for spring so I can hoop outdoors again!
