Hi Nancy. I have Great Pictures of these rocks in my Home. I'm happy you found this special place. Did you Enjoy it? Isn't this special place amazing? When I first found then I said what a find. Those bugs you heard are called Cicada's if you Didn't know what they were.

fun vid.... i hope you had the chance to see the river rise to flood stage after being at drought stage, and all in one month's time.... nature is a gift, no matter what it does, it's always a high to respond to it.... thanks for the post, i find everything and everybody totally fascinatingly inspiring, john felice ceprano, the sculptor of the remic rapids balanced rock project since 1986~

@NancyToday hi Nancy, I am the artist... lol. I just left the site after doing some repairs from all the river flood of last week..... the site is a very different experience with the river up to normal, sure you would like it.
i have a website, but can't post it on tube, so just do a google search, yes, there's other projects as well as the events on site.. thanks for the post and sharing your joy, john felice ceprano

i love the fact that they aren't bothered or vandalized (i hope), they're simply glorious! here the maori's take great pride in the ancient shell rock and volcanic stone. they have a certain power in them that you can actually feel.
