The Giant Mouser is a lot easier than you portrayed it to be. Simply stand under his mouth and repeatedly hit upwards with Don. The lasers won't hit you, you'll kill anything that comes out of its mouth, and you'll hit the orb at the same time.

I remember watching my friend beating this game when we where little. It took a lot of time because he collected some weapon upgrades from the third level. He said you couldnt beat shredder whithout them. The end battle was anticlimatic cause when shredder showed up he just laid everything he got at him and that was it. I know for a fact that this game is beatable without cheats.
