That video was originally a mere rough concept of a possible storyline for a future God of War game at that game. That concept eventually became God of War: Ghost of Sparta, although some details of that concept and the actual game have changed

For example: In the concept, it says that Kratos brother died and grew up in the Underworld. In Ghost of Sparta, his brother was instead kidnapped by Ares and Athena and was held prisoner in the domain of death- to which Thanatos ruled.
