The best way to rescue wounded Soldiers is to mask them with smoke so they and their comrades are hidden from aimed fire...smoke grenades that can be hand-launched are available in the U.S. supply system (rifle-launched are available COTS) and must be employed to buy valuable time to get Soldiers to safety; treat their wounds and package them for transport to higher medical care....
