The following performance is an attempt to present Clérambault's 1st organ suite in an historically aware context. The organ pieces are, in effect, only half of the performance. As these pieces were intended to be played with the Magnificat, the appropriate gregorian chant has been included to complement the work. Pastor de Lasala plays the Hill/Létourneau organ at St Andrew's Anglican Cathedral, Sydney and the chant is sung by James Dixon.

  • We need this, we need it indeed!

  • Good idea, including the original edition with the video. Very interesting to hear the music in its proper context.
