  • One person loves sky news

  • @Vault101Reject you have a good point, but unfortunately 5 News has dented our international prestige in journalism.

    Who are you quoting there?

  • "This is a bit like watching a play written by a dog"

  • @jackhannaway I don't disagree in essence. Current journalistic practices are a product of media industry pressure and make journalists susceptible to early misinformation. The problem is that they don't later have the balls or integrity to expose their toxic sources and make a proper 'lasting' story such as 'Police Lied About Menezes' or similar. They won't kill the golden-egg-laying geese.

The solution is for the media to grow a pair, not ALL anonymous sources to be made a sacrificial lamb.

  • @Laivasse It's way more complicated journalists have to report a story on that day unlike a documentary they have to rely on what's been said at that point. The internet and fast pacing of news has created this flawed system of news gathering, the idea of Churnalism a perfect example of this news is highly temporal and rehashed from different angles to create a story, even if it is the same story.

Every news outlet craves a long lasting story so the less known in the first place the better.

  • No offence, but if you come from america, no matter how the news reports are done, you have no right to complain about another countries news gathering and reporting.
