Lore For Noobs : Arathor & The Troll Wars (Pre Season Special)

====TRANSCRIPT====
Approximately 2800 years before the First war the humans of Azeroth were a tribe-like and scattered people. Nestled in the Lordaeron area of the planet the long time enemy of the Humans were the Amani Trolls who were become a threat to their society more and more. The human tribes were constantly being pushed around by the Trolls so Chieftain Thoradin and his prime general Ignaeus (Who would later recieve the name Trollbane) of the Arathi tribe decided to unite the humans into a single formidable empire. For every tribe the Arathi's conquered they offered the people peace and equality. Slowly the humans went from nuisance to one of the growing super powers in Azeroth. The humans founded the kingdom of Arathor and the capital of Strom (Now Stromgarde) .

The elves of High Elves of Quel'Thalas were at a full scale war with the Amani empire around this time and they were getting their ass kicked. The wise king Anasterian Sunstrider realized that the humans were now potentially a very valuable ally. And even thought they had always viewed the humans as primitive and savage even at times treated them as bad as they treated the trolls, he was not about to let his empire fall because of prejudice and racism. Anasterian sent out diplomats to see if he can form an Alliance with the humans in return the elves would teach 100 humans the ways of arcane magic.

King Thoradin while he had little love for the elves he realized the danger in letting the Trolls win the war against Quel Thalas. So it was done the elves began teaching humans the ways of the arcane and the nation of Arathor mobilized united against the Amani Trolls. The Amani empire was the last large Troll empire and when after the final battle the Troll race would never be the same. The humans and the elves fought hard and then deployed their secret weapon, human magi working in tangent with elven magi. Between the fury of the Arcane, the knights and archers of both Kingdoms the Amani were finally broken and scattered. Because of Arathor coming in and saving Quel'thalas the high elves pledged themselves to the Arathi King Thoradin and his line of descendants whenever he would require aid they would be there.

This sky rocketed the Human race in all sorts of directions in terms of technology and knowledge. With the death of Thoradin the kingdom of Arathor split up and founded many other kingdoms. The new human Magi went off and founded the city-state of Dalaran, Descendants of Thoradin would go south and build Stormwind, Those who remained in the capital city of Strom renamed it Stromgarde and slowly the other kingdoms would be founded and flourish as well.
