My friends mother took us to see him back in 84. We were about 16 at the time. We had a close table to the stage. I will never forget it till the day I die. Words can't describe it. I cherish the fact that I saw him play live.

I started playing the drums when i was about 12, took lessons and played until about 16 or so before I got into other instruments/DJing. Watching videos like this brings me right back to those days. I can't wait to splurge on a new set and get back into it. Thanks for uploading this. They just don't make em like this anymore!

You really souldn't be surprised about anything from the Post Office or really any govt. agency. You really don't need ANY experience to go or get ANY job in the US govt. Just watch the news.

During the period when Ludwig was riveting pearl finishes to their drums. Maybe the worst era of the company. Hey, what happened to the trombone solo, "There's a Place for Us?"

@walkingman717 Often Buddy would play an abridged version of some of his book. Channel One was another example.I recall one night at ronnies he started off with his drum intro into west side & ended up just doing a solo nothing else except the last few bars at the end of the tune!

@wmjoca Bobby Orr ? don'tr get the connection-------If there is one!

@mikebuddy1 , Since you are from Ireland, you may never have heard of Bobby Orr. Bobby Orr was (IMHO) the greatest hockey player that ever lived.
I also think that Buddy Rich was the greatest drummer that ever lived. Therefore, Rich was the Bobby Orr of drumming. You could say Orr was the Buddy Rich of hockey.
