Special Thanks to the National Park Service who allocated over 7 million dollars to restore the D.C. World War Memorial.

The fight is still not over. HR 482 calls for the expansion and restoration of the memorial to serve as the DC and National WWI Memorial.

Please write your congressmen or senator and ask them to pass the resolution submitted by Congressmen Poe (R) from Texas titled the "Frank Buckles World War One Memorial Act" Please embed or forward this video so that action can be taken for the 90th anniversary of the end of World War One which occurred on November 11, 2008 - Veterans Day.

  • this is a shame. I was just in D.C over the past weekend and this monument is in FAR worse shape then it is in this video. The monument is covered in mold, has far greater cracking on it now and there wasnt even a path in the snow cleared so you can walk to it. I still walked to the memorial and stood inside it, it is very sad to see. There were a few footprints of people who walked up to it before me, but other then that there was no sign of anyone paying attention to this memorial. Very sad.
