Dr. Tawfik Hamid - "The Roots of Jihad"
When he was in medical school, Dr. Hamid was himself an early participant in an Egyptian terrorist group, along with Dr. Zawaheri, now the #2 man in Al Qaeda.
Born in Egypt to a secular Muslim family, Tawfik Hamid joined the extremist Islamic group Jamma'a Islameia, when he was a student in medical school. In his studies he was learning to heal, but in his thoughts, as he says, he "dreamed to die for Allah and to share in terrorist acts." His colleague in these formative days of the terror movement was Dr. Al Zawaheri, then an acquaintance with whom Tawfik used to pray, and now the number 2 person of Al Qaeda.
Eventually Dr. Hamid questioned the hatred and impulses to violence that participation in extremist Islam was fomenting within him. He became a physician, specializing now in medical education, and also a scholar of Islamic texts. When he began to preach in Mosques to promote a message of peace instead of violence and hatred, however, he himself became a target of the Islamic extremists who had been his friends. They threatened his life, forcing him and his family to flee Egypt, and then Saudi Arabia. As Dr. Hamid says "The powers of darkness were overwhelming and I was forced to emigrate with my family to the West seeking freedom."

  • @najiballah1 Go and read:-

Apostates of Islam. The you will understand

  • @covertbabo12 I would believe Dr Tawfik Hamid anytime.

Do not always believe what you hear or see to be the truth. It is better to find out the truth and the truth will set you free.

  • He's not talking about Islam; he's talking about a cult branch of it. All religions have cult branches.

Cultists target college students because they are most susceptible to being brainwashed. To learn rapidly, they often have to suspend judgment and simply absorb information.

It's always wise to maintain an attitude of skepticism. This may slow down the learning process, yet it helps to build a strong mind that is immune to brainwashing.

  • Pg - 1

Scriptures regarding the divinity of Christ, and showing that before he came to earth in the flesh, Christ created the universe, in his heavenly, glorious form:

 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word [Jesus] was with God, and the Word was God.

  • Pg - 2

 The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1-14

  • @ee7885 i unerstand where u coming from but u got understand one thing, when jesus came along he didn't force the jew to convert or he didn't force them to pay tax.islam did, christains were forced to pay 3 times more then the normal muslim in that time(this is a studied was done in the middle east) in those times normal person in the middle east under the islam rule wouldve get paid i,e 20 dinnr a month, christains were asked to pay 3 times more what used to get paid working,...con

  • @ee7885 Agreed. So the historical points and the basis of the religions should be put aside if we want to resolve this problem. At the end of the day, we all believe in a divine creator. The words are a matter of interpretation. The subjects are too complex to be understood in the same way by all. So to simplify, the parts of the religions that keep people in peace is what should be taught and focused on. We can't expect everyone to understand their religion perfectly as it was intended.

  • @R5Haggar con..wanted to change something that hapend 2000 years ago,so moahemd is disagreeing with what came from the first religion fellowed by christianty and he wants his way the islam way or no way,,,so u telling teaching is the problem?mate the problem starts with mohamed him self fellowed by the quran then everything comes after it.mohamed wanted islam to be the religion of the world no place for kafra or nasara and yahoud, like they say it islam alltogather is a fucking world problem.

  • @R5Haggar,islam tell the muslims in the quran that jeus was just a masanger of god just like mohamed, but islam also know that jesus in the christain believes is not just masanger for them like mohamed,so from the start there is a big problem already, when jesus came and start he preaching he he fellowed what moses started and he did not croect anything that came from moses in the old testament, while mohamed he wanted to change everything that moses and jesus start with he bascly....

  • @ee7885 cont'd 4. So if they focus on teaching these realities and focus most on teaching the peaceful side of the quran, OUTFRONT, there will be less terrorism from extremist in the developed world. Teaching is problem because of its more negative nature than positive. Hey that's the nature of things and there is not much we can do about it except point out the creeping impact in infiltrating our way life with extreme intents.
