  • Thank you so much for putting this on YouTube! Good memories of childhood with my father, who introduced me to San Freberg. We laughed to this together.

  • grew up on this lp..still have it in mint condition!!!!;-))))

  • Awesome! So happy to find this on youtube! Did he ever do more than the early years?

  • Boy does this take me back to my youth! I grew up listening to Stan Freberg and I had this whole record memorized! lol

  • My favorite track is "Take an Indian to Lunch" Some southern radio

stations back then wouldn't play it. They thought anything favorable

to any kind of civil rights issue was propaganda from the left, Incredible !

  • @AbsoluteQi You're right. But Stan DID attempt a stage version in the early

60's for producer David Merrick, but according to Stan's autobiography

it never got to be performed due to Merrick's constant interfering with

decisions about scripts, the makeup of the pit orchestra, and many other

issues. Stan finally threw in the sponge to avoid getting ulcers. This

still would make a great show, although I don't know if Stan feels up

    to it.

  • @partypenasco Yes, and I truly feel sorry for these people

  • They sell this on CD now if nobody knows, bought it for my mom a few years ago. Even though I'm a tech geek we grew op listening to this and Fireside Theater that she had on tape. A lot of people don't get the humor and genius of this album.

  • Like others who have posted, I grew with these albums, but lost track of the last cassette I had years ago. Now I can share this with my wife....thanks a million!

  • I could watch this all day long!
