Legal Solutions - Property Case

A woman rings up saying her brother got married in September and they put her sister in-laws papers through but she got refused today. They wanted a property inspection report but they asked the council and they said they don't unless it is a council property. Harjap tells her to contact a private surveyer, someone who is registered to say under the housing act it is not overcrowded. She says they said there is not enough accommodation. Harjap says you needed that report, alot of councils, the local environmental health officer and you can get a private one aswell. She says they have been told they can appeal but will it take long. Harjap says it will take 8 months so it is best to take that paper and reapply, taking less them.
