Well.... that's as may be, but you ARE talking about the FUTURE. How about saving our economy and American's financial well-being NOW while we still NEED oil to function.

It's so easy to say Wind, Solar, Electric, Ethanol, and Biofuels... but until any or all of them are at a level to provide the nation's FULL power and energy needs, we're still stuck with oil... so let's get the price DOWN ASAP while we still HAVE an economy!

I will shortly post another video that offers a new paradigm for solving the issues of drilling if currently off-limits areas, and insuring that by doing so, the price of gas at the pumps will absolutely decrease... while at the same time increasing job opportunities, and solving another critical issue. ANWR drilling would BARELY effect oil prices. Every independent analysis comes to that conclusion. the GOP's insistence on it is ridiculous. Their wrecklessness with the environment has gone on long enough.

Drill...drill...and drill! Obama must face this, McCain must face this. Lets get all of our oil and explore alternate energy sources too. Lets do it all! But if this source is ignored, politically there will be a big price to pay for for arrogancy!

This lacks the thoughts of any discipline.Meaning that the stated amount of oil there would not make a 1% dent ,but by locking it up now the developer pays at todays rate and the rate is on a steady upscale. So 10 years from now the Alaskan social network pays out and the US taxpayer pays in on something that it got less for money wise. It is simply a business decision. The real oil is deep off the coast it just cost more to bring it up.

if yuo are having to go get oil in a place where there is nothging but ice and mosquitoes, and no one else lives, then it is very likely that we do not have 60 years worth of oil left. Additinally what ever oil is up there will be so expensive to develop that it will have an untenably low return on investment benefit, just like prudoe bay does.

it makes more sense to leave that resource for future generations and switch to something else.

I only have one problem with this presentation.. the only purpose that is noted for oil is that we use it for fuel, but there are so many other applications for the NATURALLY occuring resource. asphault roads, surgical gloves, tires,product packaging, and shipping of goods depends on it. with out it global economy will deminish.
