unbelieveable, his message to play in front of the wall-piece is more than from the heart.
goddamn human kind. builds walls, makes war, kills people, like no other animal on earth....good to have a person like him, able to coagulate people with music. he will be missing us!

hey says: "thanks, that is the greatest salary i've ever got, because it comes from the heart".

@pistachioguy so true, these people are the true masters of life, years of experience and wisdome, acknowledging life every secund they live in freedom.
-
@Philboy50 - yes, that is what I think as well. I could make out "Danke, das ist größte, (etwas) Ich habe (etwas) vom Hertz."
Still, the fact that he made it all the way there just to sit down, make his point, and play itself speaks volumes for the spirit in the man. Very hard to beat those old timers from the USSR conservatories with their perfect technique and temperament - Rostropovich, Richeter, Oistrakh, Gilels.
The knew the value of art and freedom, since they suffered for both.

@pistachioguy i cant quite understand him perfectly acusticwise but im a native german speaker and i think some1 gives him something and he thanks him and says that its a really good present because its something from his heart.

This should have a gazillion views!
Also he is speaking beautifully in German and "thanking and playing from the heart." 1:10

only Rostropovich could make bach bourree sound so melancholic and sad...
This is called human triumph. The suffering the Soviets put this man through are heart rending: harassment, forbidding him to tour outside Russia, stripping of his citizenship, and finally exile. In the end truth and beauty had the last word and he is playing the song of freedom.
