SUNFLOWER DAYS (Copyright Dave Fellows) is one of my serious songs - it's from a musical I wrote about Vincent van Gogh some years back - the Musical was shortlisted for the Vivian Ellis Prize which was judged by, amongtst other people, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Don Black, and other writers from the Musical Theatre World . Vincent sings this song whilst in the Asylum. I wrote the words and music - the song is sung by Martin Lewis- NOTE: I just added the paintings as something for you to look at whilst listening to the song - thay aren't supposed to be an interpretation of the song. If any web designers wish to use this song on their website Please ask permission first - email me (dave fellows) at boris.uk@ntlworld.com
Staind were formed in 1995, and as this recording was made in 1989 (it was shortlisted for the 1989 Vivian Ellis Prize, which is a matter of record with the performing Rights Society ), then it is more likely that maybe Staind stole the guitar work from my song? - though, as I only posted it on Youtube this year, I should think that if the guitar work in my song sounds like the guitar work in any Staind songs, it is just a co-incidence and, therefore, I wont be suing them for ripping me off.
