This one is better I think : the star adds flares at the start and somehow the shot looks more realistic and more complete, style-wise.

Thanks AG. Yes your right the model is neat, I liked the design from the start. I don't tend to copy other designs but I liked this one for some reason :) the sky environment is made via a after effects plugin called trapcode particular (a particle plugin). I exported the camera coordinates via max to after effects by another program. That said it could be better, I do get over ambitious with the colour from time-to-time :)
