Video of train going up and back on a small N-scale layout that is designed to hang on a wall like a painting. Details at www.scottpages.net/SprocketBahN.html. Uses Fleischmann 87305 Eidelweiss Bahn DCC locomotive on 9119 rack rails. Train automatically makes a run every 30 minutes under computer control. Runs on 8 AA batteries.

  • The loco is the expensive bit. The rest is wood, scenic materials, glue & paint "leftovers" from stock, electronics leftovers from work (I used spares from a mechatronics project), about $60 for trees and buildings, and the track I bought on ebay long ago, but I guess US$30. I'd have to look up the loco, and I bought it years ago, but it was the best part of US$200.

  • I am open to suggestions... it is hard when the scenery is flat!

  • looks good, but I would suggest making a better transition from forest to snow

  • I like! How much did it cost to build?
