on xbox 360 i think you have to jump and hold the X button because i did that on a helicopter in multiplayer, and also i think the vehicle/helicopter has to be moving fast enough to hold on.

I CAN DO SAME when car was coming to hit me i press space(i changed controls) and my player jamp and when get hit by caar cught its windows in hand and get hang
