Evil exists bit we are not even consistent with what we say we do but the best way to beat evil is to fight as little wars as possible and get nations to try to copy us as being humble, prosperous, and free. However enough with these religious people saying we are all evil.. no you are foolhardy.

Metallica actually has quite a few songs with poignant messages. Kill Em All is probably their least creative album in that respect. Probably because the band was so young at the time. Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, ...And Justive For All, and even the Black Album have quite a few politically/philosophically motivated tracks. After that I don't know cause I stopped listening to their music.

Kill Em All came out in 1983. Its till one of my favorites of all time. :)

@1Atomtan Church supports the killing of people overseas for political gain, Church supports giving American wealth to Israel. Church goers clap with glee as we bomb civilians in middle eastern countries.

@barbourjohn And most of those who claim to speak for God are more evil than your average non believer. Church is about money, connections, entertainment and Chauvinism.

Americans are so mixed up. The answer is to come back to God, admit that they themselves have rebelled against God and so have participated in evil, accept the victory that Jesus gave us on the cross when he disarmed the principalities and powers and grow up.

America is lost because its people have turned away from the truth of God and have sought to be autonomous and define for themselves what is good and evil. This is evidenced by svenp's comment which rejects God's definition of evil (idolatry) and substitutes his own (religion) American leaders are deceived into thinking that they are good in themselves. Democracy is not good - God is. Democracy is just a process and has become an excuse for any kind of evil done it its name.
