@h33ro89 if you want to save some money. I'd get a 2000 or so Impreza RS and get a wrx or sti engine swap. thats exactly what i want to get. ... and btw im getting this same outback in a few days..

Manual or Automatic Transmission?

Great video, props to the camera girl for standing out in the weather!
I've also got a '99 Rio Red OBW 5-speed. Running on a rebuilt '98 2.5 DOHC junkyard engine (1st blew the headgaskets). UEL headers, 2.25" straight pipe, torque box removed and snorkus box removed from fender.
Shes been with me for everything from rally races, track days, mud-bogs, road trips, and of course lots and lots of snow drifting. Hopefully this year I can get somebody to grab some video for me :)

just got another outback, $1,400 in new parts i only paid $600 for it.
new Head Gaskets, the #1 problem with the 2.5L
its Blue though, my last one was Red and had to put a 2.2L in it.

I have a fat understeering bitch just likes yours, but its black.
-
LOL Good Vid, I'm gonna guess.... New Market Center and Shoppes at Shawdowline.
-
Subaru FTW!
-
@h33ro89 do you know if the newer models 2000-04 have the same problem with the head gaskets? what kind of heads do you have?
-
240,000 miles on my '96, everything stock except WRX wheels. Even the headgaskets are original but mine has the 2.2. 1996 was the only year they offered the EJ22 (well 1995 but then it was only a Legacy with 2-tone and fogs) and it was only with the 5spd transmission. Hanging on to mine, it's a good one!!!

epic...

I love my outback! lol everything breaks but the engine. after my first winter with mine i had to get new tires, get a re alignment, re furnish my rotors, and get a new front axle, all broke at different times but i know its because i was rough with it during the winter and on dirt roads. No more doing crazy shit this winter even tho thts impossible to say. (1998, 2.5, Impreza white, 15%tint, K&N cold air intake) the cold air intake about made me shit my pants with the results i got.
-
@h33ro89 ill def try to post some this winter for sure.
-
I love parking lot drifting with My BK wagon.

BEEEEEEAAAAAAATCH!
Sweet vid, man! Next time you're in Asheville, we need to make a vid of both our cars. That back-road looked like shit-tons of fun, though. I doubt my car would have been able to clear that snow.
Seriously... next time you're back in town.
You. Me. The white stuff.
Kaleb's car can just stay in the Dunkin' parking lot like a good little sports coupe. lolz!

creative camera work I like!
I got a 1997 2.2 Outback legacy and that thing is so fun to rally in the snow!!

@SubaruXT6 Hey thanks for the comments!!! Its really appreciated. And glad to see you now have a Legacy as well. They are a crap ton of fun off road and in the snow. I I will warn you that the head gaskets are 99% likely to blow if they are stock. Depending on the mileage, ive seen them go between 70k to 150k but everyone i know that has one has had to replace it. And its best to refit it with an aftermarket one before it blows so you dont bend valves and potentially ruin the whole engine.
