Latif Yahia interviewed on BBC HARDtalk.
The first part of what I consider to be the best interview that I have ever given in the past 19 years. I consider Stephen Sackur from BBC's HARDtalk to be one of the toughest interviewers ( hence the name of the show ). A challenge and a pleasure in equal amounts.

  • Hello Mr. Latif Yahia, I just wanted to say your story is incredible. I am happy for you that the movie has introduced you story to a wider audience, including myself. Your book will be the first one I probably get.

Also I wanted to say, that no matter where in the world someone is that hears you story, no matter their views on Iraq, there is no doubt they will think you story is incredible, and know that you are an incredible human being

  • I just applaud this guy for the simple fact that he is still sane after seeing and going through all of that horrific violence of murder and rape of people.

  • thats presenter is a total knob latif has seen and done more than u have ever done in your silver spooned educated life latif u r an inspiration

  • Just watched the devils double great film.

  • just saw the movie, bit late I know, and I knew stuff like this happend, but....oh my god, this guy is a hero! +5

  • I'm a guy who moved from Iraq in 2004 because of the war in Iraq.

Mr.latif Yahia, When I watched The Devil's Double, I thought more about you and I started reading your website and watch your channel. But I wondered if everything was true in the movie? Did you borrow udays cars. How knew life for you even if you had the finest cars and Levade in a luxurious house and you got everything you wanted. did you try to kill you someday? live your sisters in iraq still alive?

  • Latif, why are there articles out saying you were not Uday's body guard? I believe you 110%, but I'm just not sure why anyone would question you're credibility. Either way, your story and life are extremely interesting.

  • Yes, devils double brought me here. That was an amazing story.

like you said, You're a good man, living in a bad world.

I'm glad to see the real you on this clip.

  • @LatifYahiaChannelAlso, in the film it shows you shooting Uday at the end, was that put in for effect or did that actually happen?

If so, well, kudos to you :D

  • @LatifYahiaChannel I'd just like to say I am a big fan of the film and I was desperate to see it for months and wasn't disaPpointed. Was absolutely unbelievable and definetley in my top 10 films.

You had to go through horrors that no man should go through with those psychopaths. How realistic was the film to you? I heard somewhere that they only put a fraction of what actually happened to you in the film because there were that many horrible things they couldnt put them all in.

  • @PureHardAssyrian Saddam was an evil prick and his hanging was too soft, he should have been tortured to death by some of his victims famillies.

I never agree with war but removing Saddam was great for Iraq, he had to go and hopefully Iraq recovers and becomes a great country, at the very least more prosperous than the road to ruin Saddam was taking it on.
