The reference to a solicitor related to the fact he was going to tweak Plectrum. Tweaking would have involved twisting a part of his body (probably an ear to cause pain. Corporal punishment if deemed excessive could have resulted in the boy seeking the services of a lawyer (solicitor).

yes in britain a solicitor is a lawyer, im assuming 'tweaking' was a form of punishment in the past

I think the link was between Plectrum and him going to be tweaked. Dunno about solicitor, but it probably means lawyer in this case, and not prostitute.
