Girls living in Yoron Island are voluntarily singing YORON KOUTA a folk song of this Island with SANSHIN banjo a traditional 3 strings instrument for her great-grandmother age 101.
The language a girl and old woman speaking is Yoron region dialect, quite different to standerd Japanese.

I understand. But if Yoron is a part of Amami, why are these girls playing Okinawa style Sanshin with Okinawa bachi instead of Amami style sanshin (yellow strings, and bamboo pick)?
