  • Wow, how was it caught?

  • The owl was caught with a "mist net," similar to a fine netting for fishing, which is set up like a volley ball net where owls are expected to be. A lures--mice in an enclosure the owl can't get to, but can hear--were placed nearby.

  • Hi. I take care of a western screech owl at a museum. I know his little "chirping" is a defencive action. But he also "hoos" what does his hooing mean?

    -Thanks

  • oh that would be so much fun, to handle owls I love them, does it take a special license to band them? I know it takes a special license for hummingbirds.
