Great singers!

thanks a lot for your agreement!
much appreciated!
there was a company called RAGA which issued CDs and had an introductory track for the advertising jingle for basmati rice as track no 1!
Later they combined the track into the opening sequence of classical performance of bhajans by Kumar Gandharva-ji seamlessly! when it was a discreet track one I could skip the track and some zealot recognized and got wise and incorporated adverts in to the opening track seamlessly! It is this I hate

@Psyche1954 Absolutely. What rude interruption with the adverts.

Soulful Rendition.... ! May God bless them with a very long & illustrious Musical Career !

Wonderful.....:-)
I read the meaning of this wonderful abhang in one of the websites....
Here it goes..
Chant Vitthal, imagine Vitthal, live Vitthal with all your heart & soul
The mind gave away to the greed for god, now it refuses to return to itself
I was liberated from all the moorings, and then I could, sublime into him
This is not mine...Am just having the meaning re-posted here so tat it might be easy for viewers to find out...

I think it's a Hindustani raag called Bhatiyar.

I love this song. Carnatic + Marathi sounds very nice. More of these songs please.....GREAT.
Excellent rendition by the two ladies!! Abhangas have seeped into the Tamil culture with the Tanjore Marathas who've settled in the state since the times of Shiva.
What touched me in their rendition was a special underscore to the melody. In the conventional Marathi abhangas, percussion are an equally dominant ingredient.
Perfect pronunciations, subtle arrangement- a refreshing change from the familiar Abhanga setup. My 20 hour day has ended with immense satisfaction! Kudos! Nandiri! :)
