  • Kladieb, you did a terrific job. Thanks. Al has been my favorite composer for many years. I never tire of his compositions. You have brought this song a fresh, enjoyable arrangement, making it sound a bit like something Harry Chapin might have written. God Bless!

  • THE FAVORITEEEEEEEEEEEE-SONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

  • Hey someone could upload the original song please!!

  • lovely cover of a beautiful song, thanks :)

  • I never listened to anything else by Al Stewart other than this album but this album was a GREAT album. The whole album is about the temporal aspect of TIME and LIFE. Al Stewart believes we should enjoy life where we can. Experience life as we can but he feels there is NO MEANING to life. He repeats this theme throughout the entire album. He feels this is not only true for you and me but Robespierre and all the rest. He feels we flail and we try and find meaning where there is none.

  • Cool. Sounds like some Key West stuff, somehow.

  • Kladieb, you are a brave man to tackle such a difficult song. I think you did a bang up job on it! (I mean that in a good way) Up here in Gordon Lightfoot country, mid-continent Winnipeg, that song never got much play. I think the DJ's thought that it might be a bit dark, whereas "Year of the Cat" was a mega hit up here just a few years earlier. (Well, it played better with the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac of the day) Keep up the good work!

  • Looking forward to it. Don't hesitate to contact me when it's posted. Thank you!
