@doordangle I was a bit younger than you in the eighties, so I was just watching Duran Duran as a kid when I was in elementary school. I enjoyed MTV, and Simon is one of the best on there actually. Their new album is really good All You Need Is Now. Are you up on any of their new material?

Lol you can now find most of these clothes at thrift shops or hipster clothing stores.

Wow! What a time capsule! A small snippet of how it looked and sounded in the mid 80s! Did we look like that back then? OMG!

omg, I loved watching this! Love the 80's and Duran Duran!

I didn't know people danced to this music, I just listen to it in my car or while cleaning or working on something...interesting.

@TigergirlM This is cracking me up. I also loved Duran Duran back in the early 80's (and still love the music). This just seems so cheesy to watch now though, and it's just creasing me here. I love it LMFAO

@dodge851 can name 2 fred astaire and ginger rogers - will there ever be a point where you will stop distiguishing between black / white etc, so you can evolve? hmm, unlikely

that presenter has a crush in the hot boy in the red pants, look at his interatiction and body language.. Hopefully the boy in red has better taste than some one as shallow as that

@MissNovemberTuesday It was philadelphia, Pa. Danding on Air which later became Dance Party USA
That was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen! OMG... how embarassing, and the worst part is that I'm sure I would have been right in the middle of it all. I loved Duran Duran and dancing! LMAO!!!

Where was this? I can only say it doesn't look like anywhere around SoCal. Those were some really preppie Duranies. They looked more like the way people dressed here in 1982. Wherever that was, it looked about a year behind, fashionwise, with a few exceptions in the crowd. I am so glad I never went with the permed hair or tall bangs. I wasn't the pearl type or the dayglow wearing type either. I liked my suede Duranie boots and my black rubber bracelets, which I still have!
