No Regrets [Rock Band 2] 100% Expert Vocals

100% Gold Star Expert Vocals performance on No Regrets by Authority Zero, as it appears in Rock Band 2 for PlayStation 3.

As is customary with my videos, the original vocals by Jason DeVore are muted so you can hear what I'm singing.

This isn't actually a terribly difficult song to score 100% on IF you aren't using all the lyrics, aside from the quite large pitch jumps all over the place (which aren't that bad really). The scoring on the phrases is fairly tight, however, and using the lyrics is very likely to hurt your score because you just don't have a lot of wiggle room on most of those really short phrases. I really don't like how I sound in this video because of this - I'm having to sing very methodically to maintain combo and hold onto points. On the plus side, I'm note-accurate almost everywhere in this video, so if you're struggling on this song, this is going to be a good reference for you.

The overdrive path I'm using here is optimal, though I didn't activate the second one quite late enough - the maximum score on this song is exactly 190,000 points in Rock Band 2.

If you're just talking about the song itself, this song is off their album "12:34". You can get the digital download MP3s from the iTunes store or Y! music store, according to the band's official web site.

If you're talking about getting it into Rock Band, the only way to get it is to buy a new copy of Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Wii, since it's one of the 20 free songs that come with the game.

If your PS3 copy is new, look on the back of the manual for a code and instructions on how to use it to get the extra 20 free tracks that come with the game.

It's OK. Just try to keep in mind I have to memorize the pitches, the lyrics, and the cadence. That takes a lot of time - and then I have to perform all of the above correctly.

For easy songs, it's not so bad. No Regrets isn't that hard, but that sour note on "it shows me" kept screwing me up. I was able to FC the song without it, but I really wanted to nail it down to show you how to sing it.
