  • Nadeau, Obama has a bunch of speechwriters, one of which wrote for JFK. The guy can't speak without stuttering, unless he can read from a teleprompter. The Obamatrons confuse his acting skills with oratory skills, which he has none. He is such a poor debater, even W would beat him. He should give it a shot in Hollywood, after his great fall in November.

  • How's that hope and change working for ya??

  • you just wait until cap and trade hits home, you will be singing a different tune. gas will be 5 bucks a gallon on purpose because of obama

  • They're neighbouring countries, and 70% of Canadians live within 100 km of the U.S. border. I live right across from Detroit, Michigan. "I can see Detroit from my house!" (not Russia, hehe). The U.S. controls a lot in the world, and I find American politics a lot more interesting than Canadian. The economies are intertwined; I just see it as important to know about what's going on in the world -- especially with your neighbours! (or "neighbors", as you Americans would spell it)

  • i am also wondering why so many canadians are so concerned about americas elections and events and well being. just a wondering

  • if america has an economic collapse canada is not going to suffer? you canadains are too efficient to understand how america works, mainly because america wastes more money than any other country. simple fact is that canada is much more of a efficient country than america, and america will never get out of this. i would be surprised if canada could survive just fine with out america. we have horribly wasteful government, you dont. but who is going to buy all of your "stuff" if america is broken?

  • It's give and take with the relationship between the U.S. and Canada. Canada has a stronger backbone than you think. Our economies are very much intertwined (ie/ auto industry here is suffering). When you're American, you believe that no other country can survive without America's help -- it's an embedded pride mentality in your country. I think that now, maybe, you're be the narrow-minded one? No offence; you seem intelligent and all, so just enlighten me if you have an example.

  • Oh, I definitely don't believe that Obama will "save" everyone. There would have been an economic disaster with or without him. He's no angel, but he's definitely a better candidate than any Republican though, because those neoliberal policies which drive economic forces are more prevalent under conservative-type governments. I'm not narrow-minded; I respect your views (although I don't agree) and I understand them. I just believe that Obama was the better candidate for your country.

  • oh and Canada will suffer more than America, mainly because Canada cant function without America. wake up

  • hmm funny you say so, obama is going to raise gas prices by impulmenting a heavy tax on it.

gas will be 5 bucks a gallon with all the inflation he will make from printing up 3 trillion dollars. it will cost you 20 bucks to eat at McDonald's

american's are all under the effects of the placebo effect. wake up you narrow minded liberal. the long term effects of obama will spell disaster on us. and you will end up paying for.

stop pretending he is going to "save" us

  • "gas will be 5 bucks a gallon" -- Yeah, that sure happened... It was under Republican ideology that created this economic downtown of lost jobs (due to outsourcing - aka neoliberalism)... Thank GOD Americans made the right decision.
