  • The DX7 is seven channels. It was not as easy as I thought to set up. It is very easy to get the servos connected to the wrong channels. Eventually I had to draw a diagram and label the servos around the swash plate, then add them one by one to the receiver. Then there is the revo mixing which still isn't right yet, but it flies realy well. You can't beat this helicopter for the price. Although it has become fairly expensive once you add in the DX7, Brushless, LiPo, Swallow charger etc.

  • Great vid. I have the same heli and radio. But I havent been able to set up the dx7. Could you help me out?

    Thanks

  • Also make sure u connect the Gyro to RUDD (3pin connector) and to AUX2 (1pin connector). Also programm the DX7 to have F.MOD input on AUX2. That just the basics .. the magic begins behind that ;)

  • Its not TOO hard to get the wiring of the servos done when installing the AR7000. Just be aware of the fact that they have different names in the manual of the DX7. They talk about a 120° swachplate control using CH2, CH3 & CH6. Just count em up starting from THROTTLE on the receiver and u got the right connections.

  • Now I bought a DX7 with AR7000 receiver and it works even better (also bought a AR6100e and the Eflite 3in1-Unit for my DF53 (coaxial) to have all my helicopters controllable by the DX7 which works pretty well too.

  • I ve been starting with a stock DF60 shipped with a brushless and it worked quite well. Then I added the alu-tuning-kit: better. Then I bought a new 40A BL controller cuz the stock one (30A) blew up after only some flights. After having red lots of forum posts and threads I found out the generell opinion about the DF60 which is: very good helicopter but change the servos. So I changed the Servos to TowerPro SG90s. I ve been flying that combination indoor and outdoor with no problems.

  • The way its flying now your ready for an obsacle course mate! Its even more stable with the DX7.

How hard was the DX7 to set up? Its 8 channels isnt it?

I made the mistake of buying a brushed DF36, its rubish! Now waiting for brushless stuff to show up.

Keep the Vids coming, nice to see your progress.
