  • Not positively moralistic, but that's what makes it good. Everyone can identify with things they've done wrong and this song seems to play on the emotions of the extreme. Sang so matter-of-fact-like, it's terribly convincing. It's a great song that pulls at emotions...something that today's country artists miss...completely.

  • Great song with a message in it very powerful ,they should be putting out these kinda songs on radio today this is real country music!!!

  • this song shore gets to me

  • @heaven631 They were pushed out of the spotlight when crap took over Nashville, And since their name isn't politically correct, they couldn't get the radio play they did when they started,

  • Thumbs up if you think this song is better than anything that has come out of Nashville in 15 years!

  • Music like this has a message that people need to hear and look inside themselves and learn to think before they burn a bridge. Young people need to not only hear songs like this but understand that once you screw yourself royally theres not much to do but look back and think about how different it couldv'e been.

  • they dont make em like these boys anymore

  • @Vanillablooos I'd like to second that view. Country just isn't what it used to be. I remember this song from when I was a kid. I never knew what it was about, but I still liked it. And I still like it.

  • scd574, You're darn right about that!!

  • If you like this song, look up Porter Wagoner's "Green, Green Grass of Home" and Merle Haggard's "Sing Me Back Home".

  • I heard this song first when it was new on the radio as a 7 year old child riding with my parents. In thinking about the woman I love and thinking of cheating on her while she is an ocean away while I serve in Korea, only the lyric "a train won't roll down a torn up track" entered my thoughts without knowing why. Somewhere deep inside this song stuck with me for 19 years to prevent me from making one of the biggest mistakes I'd have made in my life...

  • Theres times when a country song like this one here that can preach a better message than the best prepared Preacher. Aint no decon than can lead better music. Hat's off Confederate Railroad !
