  • Art today isn't the problem. The problem, if you choose to call it that, is the people making art. Or more accurately, the world that surrounds and informs the people making art today. How can you criticize the work of people who are reflecting their reality; their fractured mutated deranged unnatural digitized sampled cloned hybrid instant-ready push button on demand never quiet never alone world. Today's artist's instincts and impulses are just fine, it's the source material that's the problem

  • CHESS...Its a peacful way of understanding life.... Play with life then you are just as alive even more alive then people who believe in religion & art.

  • @kingshighway123 Your question is interesting and provocative, however it is oblivious to the fact that our world is increasingly terrible. The terrible, terrible reality that informs contemporary art is the problem. Do you comprehend? Do you even consider what you say or write or type before you say or write or type it? You are a silly, annoying, tedious, pest. Good day.

  • @KingKook Duchamp's work was in part a response to the technology of his time and its effect on the culture as he saw it happening. How is something like that bad fodder for art? What would be a better thing to draw inspiration from?

  • 4:25 His father was freud. :D

  • great. what?

  • "I don't believe in art, I believe in artists."

  • Take a look at my generation. There you will find trains, the Finnish army, the beautiful scenery of Finland, folk music, sailing ship Sedov, martial arts, sports, art exhibitions, animals, animation, a lot of Super 8 films and other interesting stuff!

  • You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

  • @KingKook Quite simplistic

  • duchamp went to buenos aires to play chess, and he made his own chess set, but he didn't make the two toughest pieces, the knights, because he lacked the talent and skill.
