I wonder if people would be happier if the artist showed disrespect for their President by ignoring him..remember..this performance was not presented to a an individual, it was a National occasion and Mrs. El roumi could not do this without offering a tribute to the head of state who is there in front of her.I would advise the people who are unhappy with this, with all my love and respect, I know it could offend you..but if you place yourself in a similar position..you would have done the same

I wonder if people would be happier if the artist showed disrespect for their presidents..whether it was Ben Ali or Mubarak or anyone else. They probably forgot that she is a singer and simply doing her job..and when she did here speeach, she was being greatful as a Lebanese towards Egyptian support during the 2006 war between Israel and Lebanon. On that occasion, it happened that Mr. Mubarak was the legitimate Egyptian President.

out of courtesy on such a National Egyptian occasion to salute not the person,but the Egyptian head of state who is in front of her,just like every egyptian would, Mrs El Roumi never belonged to any political party, she has nothing to do with politics and is just speaking from her heart of what she felt was right, and that on this very occasion, she came from a war-torn country calling for peace, and we should all remember what position she has with regards to the Arab-Israeli conflict
